Well, Happy Valentines Day everyone!
This mornings started out with Eric bringing me starbucks at 6:30 am. Now that's how to wake up! woohoo!!
I made the family pink scrambled eggs and toast. The eggs threw Josiah off for a few minutes but when he saw everyone else happily eating them he tried them and then went on to take 3 more helpings. Ha ha ha! Tonight will be spaghetti and heart shaped bisquits :)
I sent Eric a text message today that said, "Roses r red, Violets r blue, after 13 years I still like kissing you." hee hee
And I took him a coffee to school (also known as a latte) and gave him a red heart that said, "I like you a latte. Will you be my valentine?"
I also printed out some words (from a cool website). I printed them on photo paper so they are glossy and look nice. Then I put magnet tape on the back and now we have a whole bunch of words we can write little phrases with. Fun, cheap, and cute.
I then wrote him a song. Complete with piano playing and lyrics. Not sure I'll ever have the guts to post it on here but I think he's going to like it. It's my first EVER completed song with lyrics, words, and recording (iPod).
I'm ever so grateful this year for my man and God for continuing to be faithful to us. Valentines Day at our house in the past wasn't always a wonderful day - mostly b/c we feel differently about the "holiday".... but this year I'm mostly thankful that I get to love my man everyday of the year - and I'm just having a little extra fun with a few extra things to show him how much I care. And I know he's doing the same for me.
Have a love and heart filled day my friends and family!! Love you all!
This morning in my devotions I was reminded that God gave the ultimate valentine when he gave his son to us. Always a good reminder.
