FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

He's already talking about how he just has ONE MORE YEAR til he gets to go to KG! :)

She couldn't be more cute, could she?

He saw me make Carissa's sign... Then I made his... He said, "Thanks, MOM." :)

Outside ... almost time to go.

The whole crew :)

And she's ready!

The coolest 2nd grade teacher EVER!

Noah's buckled and ready! I followed them to school so that I could take Carissa to her 1st day and check out her room with her.

Walking into school.

Carissa outside her classroom.

She played with blocks for a few minutes before deciding to play outside on the play ground until the bell rang.

That's my girl!!! :)

Now, I'm home with Micah and Josiah. We have a new "norm" to get accustomed to....

Our 11th Anniversary

For our anniverary Eric and I decided to head to Mt. Rainier and spend the sunset up there. What an awesome day! There were all these purple flowers by the roadside. They look almost like orchids to me!

A fern at the "comfort station" we stopped at! HA HA

I didn't think I caught the bee but I did!! :)

The happy couple... :)

Mt. Rainier

A nice gal took our picture.

This is the path we walked. We hiked to the TOP of the hill/mt in the horizon (top of picture) and then kept going UP beyond that!!

Isn't it beautiful?! The views were breathtaking!

I love this shot. It's the picture on my desktop.

Sunset as it began.

We were ABOVE the clouds!!!

Here's Eric out on the edge of a big rock. Isn't it amazing?! We had such a great time. We started down the mountain at 8:30 pm so we hiked down in the dark. But it was still a wonderful day. We booked down so we could hit the coffee shop at the lodge before it closed at 1o pm :)

Josiah's big boy haircut!

Yup, we're committed now aren't we? :) Josiah's hair was getting long (as you can see in previous posts). It was driving me nuts and he wasn't able to see out from under his bangs for anything... so out came the clippers....

The tears also came out.... as did the screams. The poor child can't stand the clippers - or anything near his head for that matter. He was in this position a lot thru the buzzing.

Carissa photographed the hair cutting appointment... much to Josiah's annoyance. He kept yelling stop and no over and over.... The poor neighbors probably thought he was being tortured. Oh wait... he thought he was too... :)

Look at all that blonde hair on the ground!!

The finish product and a happy boy in the bath tub! PHEW! His look has now changed dramatically from that "baby toddler" look to the full blown big boy! His eyes will be able to be even more twinkley and mischevious now that I can see them all the time :)

My baby is growing up!!

the last few weeks in overview

So, we found out that Micah can nearly do the splits! Such a goofy kiddo! Love him!!!

Josiah finally made it INTO the kiddie pool this summer! He's had such an aversion to the water. He does love the squirt guns, however, and will point and shoot if you are anywhere near him! :) I love his CHEESY smile! :)

This is what happens when creative, hot, and bored children are left with a hose! TOO funny... gotta give them an A+ for creativity!

The other night Eric and I got to go on a date! We went and ate dinner at RED ROBIN first and then Eric headed for the canyon between Ellensburg and Yakima. We parked the car and then took for the mountain side. We hiked up a short hill and came across what used to be the OLD highway that ran between the two towns.

The Love Birds
An action shot while we were walking! I'm getting good at the aim, point, and shoot thing!

The old highway with some paint still on it.

Here you can see the old and the new highways at the same time.

Just some cool fuzzy bush.

Sunset on a bridge off the Old Naches Highway. We drove there after picking up a slurpee! :) Yup, we're still kids at heart.

Not a ton else going on with the family. School starts 2 weeks from tomorrow (Tues). Carissa is pumped and ready. I think Noah will be excited to see his old friends. Eric wishes summer were a little longer! :) ha ha

Me? I'm anxious to see what having 2 kids at home during the day is like!!! ;)
