the ookies were here

our household has had both of the nasty viral bugs running around the county. we had the tummy bug first - hitting mostly just the adults (minus myself). then came temps and fatigue and tired and lack of appetite in the kids... lastly i got sick....with the upper respiratory nastiness... it started with fever (peaked at 104.2... at which point i was in the fetal position in bed, crying, moaning, and repeating to myself "i want my mommy"... how is it that the most natural thought and desire when sick is to have your mom there to take care of you? probably b/c as mom's it's OUR job to take care of everyone else)..... fatigue, chills, and a nasty chest cough.

oh and in the middle of everything was josiah with RSV and Bronchialitis... not to mention the 2 ER visits for breathing treatments (after the 2nd trip they decided to send us home with a nebulizer and RX for albuterol).... poor lil man has decided to teeth on top of it all and has 2 top teeth ready to rupture thru his lil gums, any second. oh yes, fun times.

the good news is that we're on the upswing. noah missed a week of school. he just held on to that fever and would NOT let go. he got back to school on a thursday, took the spelling test Friday and only missed ONE word out of the 14 possible. way to go noah! he must get his spelling skills from his momma!

the bathroom in our downstairs home is nearing completion. the framing is just about done, the piping for the tub was moved (long story, won't go into it now), and the plumbers will be back on thursday to put in the toilet, sink, and tub. this weekend we'll sheetrock the room and i am THRILLED. having a bathroom downstairs is going to make a world of difference in my everyday life.... no running with lil kids for the bathroom during the day or stumbling up the stairs in the semi-dark at night while they are groggy... :)

the rest of the household is in bed.... i need to get myself there as well as it's 11:23 pm.... yawn.
