Photo Shoot shots

Tonight I got to do a fun photo shoot with a friend. It was a great hour of FUN! Little Jaiden Hope is the daughter of my friends, Brian and Lisa. When I began singing at church 9 years ago Lisa was just in junior high. A few years later she helped sing on the worship team some. As she went through high school we'd talk and hang out a little bit. She later got married to Brian and 7 months ago they had Jaiden. She's such a cute lil rolie polie!!! So, here is a snippet of the photo shoot for you to enjoy. And please join me in prayer, as I consider doing some photography on the side for some extra income. :)

Bring on the cuteness!!!

Rolling over at the end of the shoot.... tired but still smiley!

Spontaneous Camping

So, Thursday morning we decided to take a quick trip to the mts! We packed up and headed out. It always takes longer to pack and prep than we think so we didn't get to camp til evening but that was okay.

Here's the family eating scrambled eggs and sausage. I told them they only got ONE good breakfast while we were gone.. ha ha...

We went into this big meadow during our morning walk and it was still a little dewy. I really like the way this little flower turned out.

Another patch of flowers :)

I got the kids to pose. I can't somehow make them all smile and look at the same place at the same time!! HA HA....

There were mini wild strawberries all over. They sprawl all over the ground and it was actually hard to NOT step on them. The animals in the area I'm sure love them.

Speaking of animals. That is Hooper, our dog, running toward us. We were hollering for him to come back to us b/c we could see elk crossing the path in the distance. If you look closely you can see them too!!! We saw a LOT of elk this trip which we had never seen before. It was really neat.

Just an artsy black and white of the kids.

Eric and the big kids. This is a big tree over the stream where the kids played.

Carissa and I. Yes, she lost a front tooth this week!!! And can you believe that the Tooth Fairy didn't respond the first night!!! Ooppps! We convinced the kids easily that it was b/c they had slept over in the living room. While the kids were out playing that morning I snuck in the coins! :o) I can still remember losing a tooth at Grandma and Grandpa Hostetler's house and sticking my tooth in a glass of water and putting it on the window sill by the kitchen sink.... and of course, the coins :)

My sweet girl and a flower she picked for me.

We're home. Kids were FILTHY. I'm pretty sure the tub has a scum ring. And now I'm off to bed. Church in the morning.

BUSSSSY MONTH!

HEY!!! We have NOT fallen off the face of the earth, I promise!!! But we have been doing a LOT since school got out and we hit the end of June/beginning of July!

Since we moved into our house in August of 2008 I have never liked the color/trim. There is another house on the block identical to ours in floor plan and color. Nothing spoke, "Curnutt House" at all about it. This year we decided to change that!! So, this is the before of our house. It was a light greyish with a blue/grey trim.

Before Auntie Brea moved to Hawaii she had a few misc items from her house to give the kids. One of those items was a small guitar. The kids have loved messing around on it. Here is Carissa sitting on a ladder and intent on "playing". I think she looks like a natural, don't you??

Here are the painters :) We were on day 1 here so there were a lot of willing smiles still in us. Ya should have seen us on day 7... ha ha....

We started in the back. I wanted to make sure I realllly liked the color... :) The left side is the new color and the right side is the old.

On July 5th, we became and Aunt and Uncle again. Eric's little sister, Michelle had her baby. Here is the happy family.... Michelle, Baby Gage, and Luke, the proud daddy.

Who can resist baby fingers?? NOT ME!

While I tackled painting, Eric tackled a new fence line. He did a great job I think. The 2 gates will swing open wide enough for our camp trailer to fit thru and park in the back by the storage shed and no longer sit under our carport. YEAH! I can't wait to park in the real driveway/carport again soon!!

Carissa got her ears pierced in December for her birthday but they have taken a LONG time to heal. The other day Eric convinced her to let him change her earrings. I pulled out a pair that my mom gave to me as my first pair after my ears had healed. They were earrings given to my mom from my Grandma Johnson so I thought it was sweet for her to wear them too. She loves them.

It's been super hot the last month or so as well. The other night we had a water fight. I bought $3 water guns for everyone and we went for it. The kids thought it was so fun to shoot mom and dad. :o)

Afterwards, we had s'mores!

Oh, this is our new front light. We bought a 2 pack so the front matches the back as well. We also, no longer look like every other house on the block! YEAH! WE also bought a number plate and new house numbers! I love it.

This is the front side of the fence. This area will not be more room for pulling in and out of the carport ... especially for when backing the trailer into the back yard. To the right of the arch will be bark and to the left will end up being gravel (which we still need to order).

Landscaping in the front yard. We put in boxwoods and potiella's (sp?!).

The front of the house! Well, part of it! :o) I haven't moved the cars to get a FULL pic of the front yet.

So, that's it!!! We still have a few more things to do.... but some of that is being limited by the bank account now.. HA HA....
